So testing the new L’oreal INOA color has been incredible one after another the color has come out amazing. As of now the shade range is very limited but by April the whole color spectrum will be released.

I don’t usually get too excited about every new product that this industry produces…why? Generally its turns out to be a big let down. Better, faster, stronger bla bla bla. But once in a while you get something that really lives up to the hype.
That happened to me years ago when I first saw the Vern Shear System in Chicago and although it took some time to become proficient with both hands it was well worth the time and money. It now saves me time and improved the quality of my cutting. Also there was the new Glam Palm Iron a friend told me to try. I’ve used many different flat irons and for the most part they were about the same but this one was a big improvement over other modles and costs much less than those with the same features.
Now today, a friend from the West Coast calls and tells me about a new Keratin System that…get this, has zero formaldehyde or aldehyde, takes about 30-40min, costs $75 and lasts for 8 weeks! He is sending a test kit to try and I will post the results soon. Hey, in this tight economy ladies still want to look great but want to save whatever and wherever they can. If this Keratin system really lives up to the hype it’s going to be incredible! No fumes, straight hair for 8 weeks and costs less than half for what all systems cost now!

claudia – “The Real Hair Truth” a privilege and an honor
On December 7th 2009 I experienced what most up-and-coming hair stylists only dream of; to be recognized on a large scale for their drive and passion in an industry that is full of great talent. I was interviewed for the upcoming documentary “The Real Hair Truth”, due out in 2010 and produced by Joseph Kellner. Was I interviewed because of some great talent I have that others don’t, did I reinvent the haircut or style for the runways of Dior, Versace and Galliano? No. The truth is Mr. Kellner could have found hundreds of stylists more talented and those who have accomplished more than I…so far.
The documentary “The Real Hair Truth” interviews several of the industries greats. Individuals who have seen this art become a multi-billion dollar business. People like, Jessie Brigs, Rocco DiBenardo, The Teals, Albie Mulcahy and many more. Many of these individuals are those who were friends and work mates of greats with rock star notoriety like the late Paul Mitchell and John Sahag, they have won awards like the coveted NAHA (North American Hairdresser of the Year) and they have worked the runways of the world most prestigious designers.
So why was a Colombian girl who came to the US with little English, a six yr. old daughter and no money being asked to talk about the globes most beautiful industry?
Personally I would say PASSION. I know there are many things about this art I still need to learn and great artists I want to work with but one thing I do not lack is passion. Someone asked me what I thought was the most important quality in this industry and I said passion! Passion is the salt of this craft. With out it you’re someone who as just enough talent to manually close a pair of scissors but with you can become an world renowned artist.
The Real Hair Truth” is probably going to ruffle allot of feathers. It pulls no punches and shows those attending school many of the disappointments and lies of this industry. Lies that large manufactures, schools and beauty shows perpetuate. But it also shows those who have succeeded with all the money, popularity and pride this art carries.
Joseph, I can only say thank you! I know one real hair truth and that is I didn’t deserve to be on tape with some of the great artists you had but I can tell you I won’t let you down.
